Synopses: The role of the Business Analyst in an Agile development environment

Much has been said on how various roles have been influenced and enhanced by the introduction of more agile approaches to projects, particularly those of developer, project manager, tester and business user. In recent years the role of business analyst has become increasingly more common and discussion on how it may work in organisations taking a more agile approach is still evolving. This interactive presentation will consider the evolution of the role of Business Analyst and its related qualifications while making some suggestions as to how it may fit, if at all, either prior to or during a project using an agile approach such as DSDM/Atern.

Agile Practices go better with Business Analysis

After more than 10 years at the code face Allan Kelly came to believe that many of the problems faced by development teams are not in the code but in the management of development efforts. It is not enough to write good code, the product must be usable, meet a real need and fit with business strategy. Getting it right involves lining up a lot of ducks.

Allen Kelly has kindly made the presentation available to download in PDF format.
